Feedback.com Help
Frequently Asked Questions
- Who can I give Feedback to?
Feedback.com is a free service that allows you to give feedback to a business, an organization, political leaders, doctors, individuals, co-workers, or even topics of interest to you. For example, you can give feedback to your local mayor, a coffee shop, or to the topic "California Wildfires". It's totally up to you! Our database is pre-populated with over 20 million feedback receivers (businesses, organizations, major politicians, and professionals in North America) but you can add new ones depending on what's on your mind and who you want to share your feedback with. - Is Feedback just another place to rant or complain about things?
No, in fact we launched Feedback.com because of overwhelming research that showed many people want a place to share positive feedback with people and businesses they interact with everyday. With Feedback.com, you can give kudos for great service, gripes about political issues, suggestions, new product ideas, feature requests, or just general comments to the people who really care about it. Feedback.com is a place for honest, constructive dialog between givers, receivers and viewers of feedback. It's not a review site, broadcast blog, or anonymous user board. - Why do you need my email address? Is it safe?
Your email address will always be private in the Feedback.com system. We will never disclose it, share it, or sell it to anyone (see Privacy Policy for more details). We need your email address for two major reasons: User verification and reply messages. We need to make sure you are who you say you are. We do not want someone to give feedback using a fake email address, or give feedback using someone else's email address without their permission. That's why we verify feedback messages with the giver via email before it gets forwarded to the receiver or posted on the receivers public profile page. Since your feedback may prompt a response from the receiver, we will use your email address to forward any reply messages. - Do I have to create an account to use Feedback.com?
No. You can give feedback at Feedback.com anytime you like, but you are required to provide a valid email address each time you give feedback. - Why should I register as a Feedback user? Is it free?
Registration is free! If you register as a user, your feedback will be processed faster because we already know who you are, so the feedback user verification step is eliminated. Registered users also get a Feedback giver public profile page allowing you to customize your display name, add a photo, manage all your feedback and share it with others. You can register here. - What is an Anonymous Message?
When you mark feedback as an anonymous message, we will not disclose your identity or display name to the receiver or on public profile pages for that feedback message. The internal Feedback system maintains a connection with you and your anonymous messages. The receiver may respond to your anonymous message and we will forward that to your email address. If you are a registered user, you will be able to view your anonymous feedback on your personal profile page. Like all other feedback, anonymous messages will be reviewed by Feedback.com to ensure compliance with our terms and conditions. - What happens to my feedback after I submit it?
If you are not already registered and logged in, we verify that you are a real user (as well as the intended feedback giver) by sending a user validation message to your email box, where it waits for you to accept it and continue processing. Once validated, your message content is processed through the Feedback content filter to ensure compliance with our terms and conditions. Provided your feedback is in compliance, it will be displayed on your Feedback giver profile page. If the feedback receiver has "verified contact" information on file, we will route it to the proper person for review, then display the feedback on their profile page. If your feedback is given to a receiver that does not have verified contact information, the feedback message will be displayed on the receivers public profile page and routed to customer service rep for contact handling. - Can I register myself, my business or my organization to be a receiver of feedback? Is it free?
Yes and yes! You can get a personal feedback page by clicking on the "Get a Personal Page" link on our home page. Here is how to register your business or organization:.
- You can click on the "Get a Business Page" link in the upper right of our home page and give us your business and contact information. Your business can be ready to start getting feedback in minutes!
- If a public feedback page has already been setup for you, your organization or your business (eg: someone has already given you feedback), you can request that it be registered to you by clicking on the Owner Registration link in the upper right corner of the feedback page.
We will take your request and start the process to verify that you are the rightful owner of the name, organization or business. Once verified, the profile will be registered to you for management and you will be able to provide email addresses for feedback processing, upload images, mark messages "private", flag messages for violations to our terms and conditions, etc.
- Will my feedback always be reviewed by an actual person?
We cannot guarantee that your feedback will be read by the receiver or that you will get a reply. Some people do not want feedback and we respect their privacy. If a person, organization or business asks Feedback.com to stop delivering feedback to them, we will comply and let you know that they do not wish to actively participate. In these cases, your feedback will still be displayed on the receiver's public feedback page, provided it complies with our terms and conditions. - How can I get my friends, family and business associates to learn about Feedback.com?
At the top of the Feedback.com home page, you can click on the "Recommend to a Friend" link and invite your contacts to join Feedback.com. The more people using Feedback.com and sharing their kudos, gripes and suggestions/comments, the more businesses and organizations will be encouraged to participate in the exchange of feedback to make your world a better place! - How can I give feedback to Feedback.com?
